1. Description of the service
At [https://www.bloomda.de] we operate an online shop for Korean skincare (an e-commerce service within the meaning of the BFSG). You can browse and filter products, fill a cart, complete checkout with payment, create a customer account, view orders and invoices, subscribe to a newsletter, withdraw from contracts online and contact our customer service. The shop is available in German and English.
2. How we meet the requirements
Our goal is conformity with the accessibility requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Ordinance (BFSGV), which are based on the European standard EN 301 549 (web requirements corresponding to WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA). Among other things, we implement:
- semantically structured pages with heading hierarchy, skip links and unique page titles; the page language is declared,
- full keyboard operability with visible focus and without keyboard traps (including cart, checkout, cookie settings and the withdrawal function),
- sufficient colour contrast and text scaling up to 200 % without loss of content or function; layouts for smartphone and desktop,
- alternative text for informative images, labelled form fields, understandable error messages and notes on required fields,
- respect for the “reduce motion” system setting in animations,
- compatibility with common screen readers and browsers.
[Assessment status: to be completed after actual testing (automated tests, manual tests, screen-reader tests) with date, scope and result, e.g. “fully compliant” or “partially compliant” with the requirements.]
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, the following limitations are currently known or possible:
- [Product images: alternative text for some images may not be descriptive enough.]
- Payment forms and payment pages of external providers (Stripe, Klarna, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay) are not under our responsibility; we choose providers with their own accessibility standards.
- [PDF invoices and documents may not be fully accessible.]
If you encounter a barrier, we are happy to help – for example by providing product information in another form or by taking your order [by e-mail or telephone].
4. Note on the micro-enterprise exemption
[Management decision, to be completed before publication – micro-enterprise within the meaning of § 2 no. 17 BFSG (fewer than ten employees and annual turnover or balance sheet total of at most EUR 2 million): [ja/nein – von Geschäftsführung zu bestätigen]. If yes, § 3(1) BFSG does not apply to our service (§ 3(3) BFSG); we nevertheless implement the requirements voluntarily. If no, the obligation applies in full.]
